Will be on my 3rd S3 come September after owning S3's since I was 19, had the 8L for about 2 years and the 8P for just under 4. Got invited to the Swansway Audi Oulton Park event and fell in love with the steering and noise from the S-tronic ( especially when up shifting !) First automatic so will make a nice change, excited as a kid at Christmas - just gotta wait until September now.

S3 S-Tronic 3dr
Audi exclusive paint
Audi Parking System Plus
Bang & Olufsen sound system
Comfort package ( light and rain sensors, etc)
Cruise control
Door mirrors – electrically adjustable, folding and heated
Hold assist
LED Interior lighting package
Privacy glass
Satellite Navigation system – SD card based

Good man!
I was going to do this and have all 3 but I'm just not keen on the 8p ! I'm a massive fan of the 8l s3 and miss mine immensely , and the 8v s3 s tronic is a fantastic car mate.

Sean

Cheers Sean! I loved my 8L S3, was a awesome car - mine was imola yellow. I do love the 8P but one criticism is that the steering is light compared to the 8L but get used it to. 8V S-Tronic in dynamic mode is awesome

Nice spec. Welcome to the 8v section. :) x

Mine took 4.5 months...so I reckon that's average, talking to the dealer on Friday he reckons Audi purposely limit the number made to make them exclusive and keep demand high. Apparently they are VERY highly demanded at the moment

I was told that and allocation is also kept pretty tight. I'll keep you all updated on build progress when I'm told anything or just harass the dealer

SEPTEMBER!!! The waiting list for factory spec is now 5 months long?!?

Yep - ordered first few days of January 2014 and mine is being built week after next (week 17). So including say 4 weeks for shipping etc and I'll probably get it end of May. So 5 months end to end.

LOL - 6 weeks for a M 135i. Guess that says it all.....

I've also gone the 8L-8P-8V route... started with a A3Quattro, then a S3 8L. When the 8P came out I had to buy new because there were no ex-demo's about in my price range so it was pretty basic as I couldn't afford many options. The wait was painful... I then went for a S3 8P Sportback - ex demo which has loads of options on it, its 5 years old now, I've had it for 4 years which is the longest I've kept a car for a long time - but it is such a gorgeous car. Wanting to move to a 8V S3 Sportback again, they're new out so I've decided to go for a ex-demo as I couldn't bear the wait for a new one :)

I'm looking forward to picking up the 8V this week - its a completely different car to the 8P, not driven it yet - but I'm sure I will love it.

Ordered mine 1st April, build week 21, will have it in June.

Just get your dealer to try harder.. they can substantially reduce lead times by spec-amending cars from the order book that haven't gone into build.

Just had a call from the sales guy at Essex Audi with an update on my order - my production date has been moved forward to week 19! That's two months from order date to delivery and means I may even have my S3 before the end of May :yahoo:

They really do drive a hell of a lot differently, not saying my 8P is a bad drive as it isn't but driving the 8V is amazing

This is my 5th S3, 1 x 8L, 3 x 8P's and now the 8V picked upmon 5th Septemebr a week after ordering!

Interested to see what the exclusive colour is...

Was told it would add a few months to my order providing the factory don't knock it back if I went for it.
