used a 500ml bottle takes about 25 minutes to go threw system.

my car is pretty responsive any way. been wanting to do this for a while .

note to any body that wants to do it only use proper fuel line as it will get warm as to will the jam jar.

early days yet but I have a slight stutter some times on start up and just wanted to see if this fixed it.

It won't be as good as removing and cleaning them by striping them down but it can clean some up enough to be acceptable again

Not used it on the A3 as yet but have direct purged older diesels with good results

Best way for us to check is with VCDS under injection quantities or similar, it'll list how much work each injector is doing... Sorry can't recall the acceptable differences, a purge will show up before and after results!

Absolutely, removing them and having them ultrasonically cleaned is going to be more effective everytime. Would be good to see if this is an acceptable (cheaper) alternative, even if with not quite the same results.

How difficult are the injectors to remove? I have an ultrasonic bath in my garage that I used on my old S3 injectors.

Honestly never done it on the BKD engine, however the haynes manual reckons it can be done on your drive with a normal tool kit and potentially a home made slide hammer. Not sure I'd do it myself, I'd probably pay a garage to remove them and then borrow the girlfriends car to take them home and clean them (if i had the gear to do so).

Everything I have heard/read says make sure you fit new injector seals and ensure they are not even slightly twisted when being fitted, as it causes major headaches.

you should replace the seals when you take them out and the seal kits about £70 for all 4 .

you have to tighten them down to a certain degrees and have to time each injector up if I remember right.

not a 5 minute job
