So as a few know I'm replacing my Sump due to previous owner killing the thread for the bung. Hopefully fitting one evening this week. I'm going to replace oil and filter as that's just usual. What else should I replace whilst at it? What oil to use due to car being on 112k now? Any advice welcome!

It'll be worth doing the oil pick up pipe while you're there, only 12 quid or so from TPS... Some people would recommend doing the oil pump as well but I personally wouldn't bother unless you've got issues.

Any fully synth 5w40 will do the job nicely...

I just chemical industrial cleaned my pick up pipe (big industrial hot parts washer), came out like new....

Like we all have access to one of these! Lol

For 12 quid, buying a new one is the way forward. Even my 64k mile example, I did the oil pick up for piece of mind.
