I have the Interior lighting pack.
S-Line but not B&O so no speaker lights. (Please lets not get into B&O vs Audi Sound System)

The MMI allows adjustment of Interior lighting as:
All
Footwell
Front

I get the fact you can either set everything the same (All) or have different brightnesss for "footwell" and "front".

"Footwell" - that's obvious
"Front" - What does that actually change? As far as I can tell it only changes the brightness of the centre cup-holder surrounds.

Dashboard brightness is set by the little knob by the headlight switch (+ ambient light coming in from outside)
MMI brightness has a specific setting in the MMI.

I can't see any change to the brightness of lights behind the door-handles or the main interior lights in the roof.

So, the question: does the "front" brightness change anything except the centre cup holder lights?

If so that's OK; but it seems a lot of tech to change brightness of only two things...

John.

Does it change the brightness of the Red LED bar (ambient light) in the interior light pod?

The front light setting does the cup holder lights only I think. The for handles and roof ambient led is definitely controlled by the knob next to headlight controls

I think my q3 adjusts the lights on the front air vents too if that helps?

I'm guessing it would do the ring around the dial on tech pack as well?

The dial on the tech pack is adjusted with the knob next to the headlights.

Personally I think the interior lighting could so with being a bit more granular. I wish I could have the dashboard lights dimmer but the centre console lights a little brighter but it's all on the same adjustment

I think that is all it does.

I would like to be able to keep the footwell lights on in the back, but off in the front. Not that the pedals are the shiny aluminium that were advertised but it does seem to reflect/glare a little. Anyone know if this is possible?

I didn't know door handle lights were included in the interior light pack. Any pics?
