Hi all, fitted coilovers the weekend, they are the Jom ones, the rear adjusters wouldn't fit so I fitted without them, looks brilliant and I'm really happy but noticed today that there is a 1cm different on the rear, left to right, the drivers side being lower. Now I know springs take a week or 2 to settle but I still expected it to at least start at the same height, would anyone have any ideas?
Will add pics later : )

Cheers Kai

get the adjusters in and adjust them. howcome they dont fit?

They wouldn't fit over the rubber mounts.
It would be a shame to use them now I've seen how it looks without.

What do you mean by the rear adjusters wouldn't fit?

2 reasons, they wouldn't sit properly over the rubber mounts, they definitely wouldn't fit without the rubbers, the second reason is the fact they don't fit inside the springs, I messaged the seller, was just told the adjusters go at the top and not the bottom, I tried every way before asking for help, I was ok to leave them out, only the fact it doesn't sit even, surely the adjusters are there to adjust the height from front to back, not to even out possible problems, maybe I'm wrong.

Cheers Kai

how much was the kit?

thats why they are wonky.

Lol probably, £155, I was happy to buy them as I had bought them for my last a3, just thought someone might point out something obvious like engine weight slightly biased drivers side, fuel tank location, drivers weight? Clutching at straws, I'll give it a week and see how it settles.

Mine's lower on one side than the other, just adjusted the coilovers accordingly so it sits even.

My springs do that on my drive, Are you on a level ground? A front wheel on a rise would have the effect of pushing the rear wheel on the opposite side up in the wheelwell.

Contact JOM & ask them about the fitment or the suppliers, I'm sure they will help or address the issue, afterall that's the whole point of the coils anyway, its pointless not fitting the adjusters.

Yeah I'll try that, I'll let you know what they say.

Do the adjusters it ontop or below the rear springs on JOM? I got FK and I'm just wondering! Obviouslt a lot easier to adjust ontop

Well the 8L adjusters went at the bottom, apparently the 8P ones go at the top.

Did you keep your rear adjusters out? I have mine out and I'm loving the look on 17's. Only issue is speed bumps which seem to be everywhere now... And I havent had 5 people in the car yet...

Yep I've kept them out and it's perfect, sitting on 19's and it's fine, even 5 up and there's no rubbing, one speed bump I can't avoid neat home doesn't bother it at all. Love it
