Hi everyone. I am really sorry if I have posted this on wrong forum. Just bough second hand car and 2nd day Engine management light came up. Had test and 4 following Fault found. Either car is still running fine , I travel every day about 80 mile on A road. with full of lorries. -:) , once Management light disappeared for day but came again next day.

(01137P0048) : permanent : Exhaust Pressure Sensor A

(09299P0048) : Permanent : Particulate Matter Trap Differential / Pressure Sensor Circuit Range / Performance

(01139) : unknown component / Resistance too high

(08194P0048) : Permanent : Particle filter bank 1, Malfunction

Please advice how serious is this , As cant spend much at the moment , can I keep driving or its some thing very urgent.

Thanks

Hi, sounds like a DPF fault. Get down to a good indy and checked out and force a regen.
I would get Dpf removed and a decent remap

Thanks for reply, few question please reply ???

is removing and remaping dpf caused any problem to engine ,
will it be difficult to obtain MOT with removed DPF or no difference
Insurance ??Do i need to inform them

Thanks

No damaged will be caused to engine, and no probs with mot as long as you have no other issues with engine.
Technically you should inform insurance of any mods, however if you only have a dpf deletion, I wouldn't bother, if you have a remap at the same time then its advisable to.
Where are you? Theres a few Remappers on the forum that can help you.
Regards.
Wes

Oh and this is the A6 C5 forum, you have a C6.

I am in milton keynes. Uk. Can you recommend me one pls.

prsonally id try getting a local vcds user to chack if a forced regen is possible and check the values before spending all your money. maybe theres a local sponser that would help too regarding the delete, look for sponser list on main forum page.

I agree, its the cheapest option, as I said in previous post.

Thanks for quick reply. It helps lot. I will try to have force regeneation first but it it does bot work then will hamer it.
Some one said using dfortey additive in fuel tank will do passsive regenration. But audi manual saying dont use additvite.
