Hi
As above. My car is on 135k and the vast majority of the bushes are original.
Which ones would you recommend to replace? Standard or are there better upgraded ones?
Dave

Poly bushes are a fairly standard upgrade. Powerflex, Superflex...the list goes on

It's it a case of asking for a full kit at the garage,or specify specific ones?
Dave

I got the full kit for mine including the dogbone..... Transformed the car.... Made it feel a lot tighter...

Ouch!
Obviously I can't fit them myself, how many hours labor would you expect so I can work out rough price?

Don't buy bush number 2 though... use TT solid bushes instead (8N0 407 181 B)

I can't remember mate.... I got mine done a couple of years ago.... Just save the drawing miss out the ones Tuffty said and just chip away at them as funds allow....You will feel the difference with some more than others get them done first if money's tight..... I'm sure Paul will be back and tell you which to do first... I still haven't done my anti roll bar ones... They've been in my boot for about 2 years...lol

Based on the pic in the link... position 1 & 2 first... also look at either LCR top mounts for the front struts or powerflex now supply them which are ironically cheaper than the LCR OE parts... for the rears just do position 4

Beyond that its a case of whatever you feel you want to spend the cash on... rear ARB is easy to do, front ARB is a little trickier... steering rack one seems a little pointless unless you are feeling flush..

Cheers, the bloke from eBay link has quoted £265 for the parts, just need to get fitment price.

The powerflex squeeze out and get damaged... TT ones are solid rubber, std mk4 chassis ones are voided... TT ones therefore are stiffer...

Second this, seen many polly wishbone bushes pop out, and the retaining ridge separate.

The only polly bushes I have seen outlast OEM and at the same time make a difference are the anti roll bar inner bushes.

For OEM + fit S3 front arm bushes, and Skoda Fabia VRS rear beam bushes.
Lemforder (OEM) or Meyle HD can be had for around £30 for the 6 bushes.

Ok , il av to get the TT one s then as they look identical to the rear ones i had fitted , i just bought the powerflex ones erm by mistake by the looks of things.

Will it need a four wheel laser alignment after?
Only place I've had it tracked successfully is Audi!

i had mine tracked just to makes sure, the guy who fitted the rear bushes got the rear aligned better than before just by eye so didn't have get it aligned but did just to make sure. Mine was put on a hunter wheel alignment machine and couldn't get the rear to match so had to compromise. Now found out also why they couldn't track it properly as front drivers side wheel bearing is very loose over a cm of play in both directions

don't have tracking done at psi tuning, as they couldn't track a pushchair, i think they are the reason my bearing has gone ,they are incompetent at a lot of things.
