Alrighty there, another problem! Towards the end of last year I took my car in to audi to get the roof resprayed were the rails had started to rust. Had the usual 70/30 deal offered to me.
The problem occurred this week, I cleaned my car, and noticed the lacquer had cracked were the Respray happened. Do audi keep these things on record? I very stupidly have misplaced the receipt for the spray work and want to take things up with them, for a job they quoted over £1000 for I would not expect this to be happening!

Yes they will keep it on record.....give them a call and advise them of this asap.

Is it as bad as this?:

This is my drivers A pillar and I believe it to be the original paint. Neve seen anything like it before!

christ! no nowhere near as bad as that, it has a small bubble in it (1.5mm x2.5mm) and a crack right down through to the paintwork which has started peeling at the edges, i also noticed on a closer look after i got home from work that loads of the lacquer has started peeling around the rail itself in the roof gutter, definitely going to kick up stink, the paint hasn't even been on the car for a year.

Neve seen anything like it before!

My rocker cover looks like this

I like to refer to it as the crackle paint effect :sly:

Pretty scene so I hear and better than the rat look

It's slowly spreading up the pillar too. It's like when you break toughened glass!

My car needs some serious bodywork!

looking at your stats 0-60 in 4.8 secs.....your shaking the paint to bits.

bodywork on cars is the bane of my life (and my wallet). i'm a pretty dab hand with a spanner, and a nuclear welder by trade so no problems should i need any welding on the car, completely hopeless when it comes to paintwork though, i can't even get a half good finish with a rattle can
