Would alloy adaptors be up to the job or should steel be the only option?

steel would be my prefered choice but i didnt know if a strong alloy would be on par with steel regarding strength and durability?!

There's nothing wrong with aluminium.... It's light and very strong.... Canary Wharf is built out of it.... So I'm sure it is more than capable of holding your calipers on....lol

These are on mine..... Can't beat a bit of billet....lol It won't rust neither....

nice set up there mate :) im undecided whether to go for boxster S or 996 Turbo calipers but i can only find alloy adaptors for the 996 Turbo where as the boxster adaptors seem to be steel?!

The brackets I've made before have been steel,
this is more down to peace of mind,
brakes to me should be as strong as the can be, but a well designed good grade of alu brackets will be fine

Alloy brackets (if made right) are fine... these are my Badger5 brackets and braided hoses I use on my AP Racing 4 pots..

Thanks for the replies all.

996 turbo calipers look slightly different than the boxster S/996?
