There's nothing wrong with aluminium.... It's light and very strong.... Canary Wharf is built out of it.... So I'm sure it is more than capable of holding your calipers on....lol
nice set up there mate im undecided whether to go for boxster S or 996 Turbo calipers but i can only find alloy adaptors for the 996 Turbo where as the boxster adaptors seem to be steel?!

The brackets I've made before have been steel,
this is more down to peace of mind,
brakes to me should be as strong as the can be, but a well designed good grade of alu brackets will be fine
