How come my renewal from sky has gone up from £400 to £620, nothing has changed from a year ago why such a ridiculous increase , I can say I won't be paying that amount for sure.

my insurance goes up by at least 23% every year
so i just get a requote and get it back down by a few quid.
my last with octagon went up £364.71 so i got an online requote and it was £56 less than last year with the same company.
 
I saved over a hundred quid on my renewal with Sky

Probably makes good business sense to them. Get a new customer,then lose them the following year.

I thought the objective would be to grow and keep a loyal customer base,apparently not.

the price has increased due to a non-settled claim.

We are speaking to the insurers now to see if we can get this closed off and invite at a more sensible price.

So everyone is in the picture ill fill in the details, some months ago my car was parked in a car park i wasn't even in the car and some woman hit it while she was reversing this was witnessed by several people she left her details.
I contacted her and tried to sort it without getting the insurers involved, anyway she wanted a family member to repair it who I don't know from adam so I decided to go through my insurance.
The fact someone from either insurance has been dragging there feet on a simple clear cut case that happened Months ago

couldnt insure me on a bog std a4 1.9tdi 115, have to have atleast 2 years no claims.... ive been driving 6 months and have many other licences on my licence including track H for my every day job of driving a tank on the roads with 600+hp. Disapointed

well very disopointed with the so called speclist insurance quotes
sky prestege greenlight
all quoted nealy double for the missus on her 09 ST3
40 yo no points no claims 7 year ncb
and they couldnt beat £493.33
 
I'm with Sky, I actually found Sky through the Toyota Celica Owners Club and set up my policy with Ollie through there, when I changed cars, I didn't know that you sponsered this site as well. Would I have retained my club discount?

Sky weren't the cheapest but they offered me £100 excess as opposed to £500+ excesses from comparision website quotations..

+1 don't bother wasting your time, wouldn't cover me either in the Liverpool area.

Just wanted to say thanks to Chris at Sky for being so tenacious in getting me to switch from Brentacre this year.

After a bit of everybody's favourite game, "ring-around-the-brokers", it was down to a two horse race, and after an initial best quote from Sky, and then a price match from Brentacre, Sky just laid the smack down with a big old "oh yeah?! well have another 50 quid off, whydontcha!". Net result: savings of £280 from my renewal figure, lower excesses, and general feeling of well-being... oh happy day!

I've just arranged my new insurance through Sky and said I'd post some feedback on the forum, for what my opinion is worth. Their price wasn't quite the lowest, but the service was excellent and knowledgeable so I went with them. Adrian Flux were way out on price and Prestige didn't know what an S3 was, so they were out. Chris Knott were also competitive and seemed fine.
 
My renewal notice came through from Sky yesterday, unfortunately its about £200 more than last year.. sorry guys, time for me to move on..

Edit for accuracy..

Read my renewal notice wrong.. price infact exactly the same as last year, guess I was paying more than I thought I was paying..
