When we fitted the tow bar on the a6 it needed to be told that a trailer module was fitted, including coding for sensors.
Because i have the parking advanced with sensors and camera it checks if a trailer is fitted when reverse is selected and if it does it omits the rear sensors.
I have now removed the module and the car is not activating the sensors..... im guessing its looking for trailer module and is confused as not there so not activating sensors.
I have all the codes that were changed.
There were changes in the cruise control, abs/esp, main settings to check for trailer and in the parking.

I understand that, ok why is it going into audi, which is why I'm asking the urgency to decode the trailer system.
Ahhhh, then who cares as audi will disable the old trailer systems anyway fella, just advise them it needs trailer disabled or just leave it.
I wouldn't worry to much, they bought the car as is, unless it bothers you that much.

I have purchased a Nissan yes.
It does bother me because im that sort of person lol.
I needed something able to tow 1800kgs of caravan and with 6 seats.
Unfortunately as much as I would have liked one Q7's are just too expensive.
Managed to get a pre reg pathfinder fully kitted and with over £1k of extras for £13k under list price..
No brainer really as was looking at £10-15k and my A6 for a Q7 of similar age to my A6.
It does bother me because im that sort of person lol.

Q7 will just eat tyres & costs aren't cheap, plus buying it, so understandable.
I'm not saying its underhanded, but you can always tell Nissan the rear sensors just need re-enabling via the other modules & they may just say don't worry about it, upto you, otherwise find someone local.
