D you have a pic that is to scale of the measurements?

Hi,

I'll upload a .pdf tomorrow with the template, when printing - set to 100% or no scaling.

And just to be sure measure it:
  • width = 170 mm
  • height = 110 mm

Your welcome Bramley,

Would you mind letting me know if you where able to use the template & how easy it is/was!
Maybe a few photo's as well if possible.

Thanks in advance,
Rain....

Hi guys thought I'd add to this thread as found it very useful!
Got myself an armrest off eBay last week!

Printed off the scaled version of the template

Cut this out and managed to borrow a dremel

Remove rear ashtray and cubby hole and rest template in place and mark the hole!

Then obviously cut the hole out and slot the armrest mount through the hole and bolt through the fixing plate!

Here's the end result!

Great template from Raincheck!

Man I wish these things could slide back rather than tilt up. It would be so much easier to access drink holder.

Does anyone still have this template? Seems to be dead links now

I'll second that above - Just taken delivery of my armrest and looking for the template if anyone still has it?

Use this link for measurements the long post, couldn't find a template so just measured less than that guy states about 1cm smaller (drilled four holes and hacksaw) then kept filing it back until it fitted snug. Remember you only need the clearance for the metal bar!!!
As you can see on the armrest there's a thick rubber lip which seals onto the Center console so makes it a neat install :)

Armrest retrofit completed today. Piece of cake - 15 minutes to cut the hole (without the template by eye...) and fits like a glove. I cut the hole too small on purpose and then filed one side where it was tight to pass the metal bracket though. After photos below.
