Petrol light

Hi all
just a quick one has any one had the petrol light come on with out it peeping and when you have 1/2 of tank of petrol.
I got home and turned the car off than started it back up and it went back to normal is there a problem or was it just a of day.

It may have just picked a piece of debris up on the sender unit, just keep your eye on it..
