My glow plug warning light will not go out!

Its in a solid state and has been taking up to 10 minutes to go out previously.

I have replaced all 4 glow plugs and the battery.

When the car is warm then it will go off instantly

Would replacing the control plug relay be next?

have you had it scanned for faults yet ?

I have had it scanned 3 times now.

They indicate back to glow plug failure but the glow plugs changed around 2 months ago and battery 1 month ago. Brand new parts of course.

Audi cleared the error which made it work fine for a day or two and then it gets increasingly worse.

I sometimes sit in the car for 10-15 minutes before the light will click off itself.

The glowplug/injector loom are known to fault, swap this & retest, then look at other options.

Is this a big job?

Something i can get second hand?

I called audi but they wouldnt give me any part number for anything.

their words were "if we arent making money on it then we cant give out the information"

Buy new from audi, 2nd hand guarantees nothing.

I'm not saying its this, but its logical thing to look at.

Yes I agree with audi, they are there to earn money & sell parts at the end of the day, they have to pay salaries for these guys & we don't pay them for information, so I think they're justified in there stance.

Rocker cover of.

That part isnt second hand that i sent the link to.

Audi would probably charge double that for the above part

Regardless, considering the importance of the part, I would buy new from audi, do as you see fit.

id also buy new from audi or TPS
otherwise you never kow what your geting

Give Audi UK a call & give them your Car reg to see if the injector recall has been done, if it hasn't, under the circumstances they may pick the car up on a trailer & do the injectors & loom FOC - 0800 699 999

what glow plugs did you use when you replaced them? A good brand? eBay specials?

I used Bosch ones. Which were reccomended by audi.

There are no known faults/recalls with my engine audi UK have said.
