Re-painted callipers a sort of silvery/goldy colour?!? Mixed some hamerite smooth silver with hamerite black.

Finally got the **** end to how I want it. (Tinted windows, tinted reverse lens, carbon fibred the silver trim under boot lid, removed badges & plastidiped the bottom of bumper trim)

A pic of how it looks now with the headlights tinted.

Looks sweet. Glad to see you didn't go limo black on the windows

Hate limo and 99% of the time I refuse to fit it lol
Always advise what looks best and it seems you already knew :)

Into the bodyshop this week to have the front & rear bumper painted.
They were touch up pened galour by previous owner.
Wish people would realise that a touch up pen is to touch in and not paint on.

Also stripped all the silver trim around the dash, 4 doors, gearstick & ashtray ready for some carbon vinyl treatment today :D

Done the wrapping today.
Hardest part was removing the strip with the 2 chrome bits on the ashtray. Apart from that all went well, nothing broke, no chance of anything pealing and most important, no bubbles.

Even done the back of my magnetic tax disc holder with an Audi logo over top.

The carbon wrap looks so good on these cars,,,, my wife thought i had bought new trim for mine,,,,,, on my ashtray i removed the chrome strips and filled in the indentation and then restuck the chrome trims back on top in the same place, just ment i didnt have to trim any carbon.... i also covered the rear ashtray and the cig lighter

Beading anyone??
Washed,Clayed, polished using poorboys blackhole, waxed with dodo juice blue velvet then collinite 915 over the top about a fortnight later...

I love the headlights mate, I really want to joey mod mine! :).

Car looks great mate, I'm from Merthyr but now live in Cornwall, just bought a B6 TQS myself and have a few questions. What did you use to tint the lights and how much did it cost for the window tints if you dont mind me asking. My folks still live in merthyr so am back every so often, will keep an eye out for your car. Also check out Rebelmotorsportclub, Am a member still but not very active, they go out on some cracking drives and are a great bunch of people, just a shame i'm so far away now.
Keep up the good work.

Hi mate. Where in Merthyr you from?
First time I tinted headlights I used lamin x.
This time round I split the headlight and painted the inside bits Matt black.

Window tints cost me £100 (bit of mates rates there mind).
I used c&m windows, Merthyr.

Which do you prefer then? Joey mod or laminx? Laminx seems much easier ha.

Don't suppose you have pics of both do you? And how did you find the laminx affected light output? Was it noticeable? I see they claim it doesn't affect light, but wanted a real answer and not marketing ha.

Would like to joey mine really but don't think ill have the time. I have a black car so both would look good I think.
I grew up in heolgerrig but lived in penydarren for a while. Had a white integra dc5 you may have seen it around.

I'm from Heolgerrig!! Ha, small world.
Moved from there about 9 yrs ago. Yea seen the Integra. Not hard too miss as they are pretty rare.

I like the look of lamin x but not on my blue car.
Rhyso (on this forum) has it on his dark grey/black Audi and it looks the biz!
Light output is affected and does scatter the light a little.
Lamin x wins for the easiest to do by a long way.

Lamin-x...

Tis a small world. Back on topic, how come your cig lighter isn't a flip around one? loving what you've done so far, keep it up.

The early lighters flipped, the later ones are fixed.

Nice work on the joey mod, looks great. Much more work than the Lamin-x, but ultimately well worth it.

What a lovely avant! I have just got a 2l petrol avant sport with those wheels (were they optional extras? I haven't seen many with those wheels on). I really wanted that front bumper but mine has the more rounded on. I am thinking a Cupra splitter may make mine look a little sportier. The colour is stunning as well.

You got to go for the lcr splitter.
Really sportens up the front end.
Shame I kept nose diving mine at the cattle grid tearing it off. :(

Now I've made corner splitters out of it. ;)

I've done a quick Google search for images of the lcr splitter and am I right in thinking it looks like the Cupra one? How do they compare cost wise?

They need very slight modification to fit our cars though. Basically, there's some tabs for locating them on a proper leon bumper, which obviously we don't have. A quick hacksaw/ dremel of them though and then it's a case of self tappers to fit it.

Great looking car nicely modified - those front map lights 2 x T4w will they fit an S4 cab (B6 2004) and any idea on the puddle lights ?

My old fabia vrs.
Got to log it somewhere before I lose all pics and memories of it.
IMAG0466.jpg

Joey modded these headlights also but was a lot easier to do.

Lovely VRS, my mate had one in black but the front end looks wrong when standard, I think it's the lights. Yours looks miles better like that.

They are quite minging standard.
I blacked out the grill, light inserts & the fog light surrounds & also added the lcr splitter to smarten it up a little.

Damn just realised there are 2 more lights in the footwell do you know if they are same as map lights ?

No sorry don't know.

Flat head screwdriver is all you need to pop the lens out to check. Takes a couple of seconds.

sorry to hijack but got me wanting a lcr splitter, does anyone know how much they are from a dealer?
