Yes, it would be cheaper and last longer. There are a couple of drawbacks though, at idle speed speed it will seem a but judderey, clutch take up won't be as smooth as a DMF.

I believe there is only 1 flywheel available if you have DSG. Mine went last year and no flywheel specialists supply them, only Audi sell the replacement for the DSG.
