It's with regret that I have to tell you guys that I made an unplanned purchase on Saturday and bought myself another BMW 330d M Sport. I did have one back in 2006 and the Audi never really hit the mark in the driving stakes. Interior quality and design though it was top notch. I always felt the steering was too light and the ride too uncomfortable and harsh for a premium brand car.

To be honest I didn't think a deal would be done but they offered me very good money for my car and I managed to knock the BMW dealer down on theirs so a deal was done. With the £270 a year tax on my car and petrol cars being the devil these days, I thought now is a good a time to take the deal.

I will still stick around as we still have our MY2010 170 TDi S-Line in the family, but would like to say thanks for all the banter over the last three years. This forum is a good one and long may it continue :salute:

Cheers all :ninja:

Beautiful car, I still think back to my 318d E90 with affection, there's nothing quite so well resolved as that shape 3 series. Congratulation.

But, yeah, it will be all but useless mid-winter if it snows :eyebrows:

top engine in the 330d lad, sure you'll enjoy

Nice choice ....Looks like a black edition ....even thou bmw don't do them ....lol

nice choice
i love ours when i get to drive it

Good choice there regardless...
The RWD is the one thing thats kept me out of Beemers over the years with Scottish winters to contend with...

Nice.:o.k:

Still lots I miss about my 320d.
Bought it out of necessity at the time and ended up liking the BMW experience much more that I thought.
6 Cylinder 3 series is on the `next car`list in fact.

As good as there are, I couldnt get excited about another 4 banger diesel though.:(

You wont be disappointed with the 330d it really is a good engine.I would advise investing in some winter tyres as they really do transform the handling through the winter months.
Just hope i wont be disappointed with the S3 when i px my 330d on Friday..:bye:

Scott, it is a really nice car, even if it is a BMW. Enjoy your new car and dont be a stranger round here. :) x

Nice mate. I have never had a BMW but I am looking at a 335i coupe on around an 07 plate next. I did have my mind set on another S3 but these have caught my eye recently. The RWD wouldn't be a problem for me as it would never be taken out of the unit on an icy/snowy day!

Thanks for all the positive replies.... Thought I was going to get slated for going back to the dark side but it seems a few of you have had the same feelings too!!

I'll stick around though as this is a good forum!

My boss' tuned 335i made 500+ on the rollers on Saturday... but he says it slides around in the dry, so can't see it being any use at all in snow or even heavy rain. Great looking cars, but the interior just does nothing for me either.

Also the guy selling the RS4 I wanted is switching to an Alpina D3!

It's horrid and ugly! What on earth were you thinking? :jester: lol
good luck with that beast mate! Almost gt myself the 330d before getting my a3... Winter tyres, snow chains in the boot, AA/RAC cover and a good blanket in the car should get you through winter

Yeah those huge rear tyres are no good in the snow but I don't commute with my car, it;s a toy really so when the white stuff comes she stays in the warm garage!!

The traction control will be staying ON!
