Just a heads up for you guys,

Was at my local Audi dealer today and asked the salesman i deal with about any recalls on the RS3, He asked if i was about to refer to squeaking brakes!!

He had another RS3 owner in complaining of it this week and Audi's official line is if the car is under 5,000 miles then its covered, Over that it looks like it'll be put down to wear and tear.

You need to contact the dealers asap and prior to 5,000 miles and have your issue raised and logged. There is currently no official Audi fix however i'm rest assured if logged then it'll be fixed when they have found the cause.

Result i say !!!!

Dare say if you were over 5k that you'd perhaps still have a case.

Saw this today on www.rs3oc.com

Thanks for the heads up!

That is crap for me as since end of January I have already done over 5,000 miles. Only thing for me to do is to put that stuff on my breaks. Audi dealers are crap if this is the case. Why deny a problem exists then go back on your word. Hang on a minute, this is what most companies do isn't it?

Good timing!....mine is in today for squeeky brakes and front wondows rattling! Grrrr!, I'll post later to see what they say about any recall.

I just had my front brakes replaced under warranty at Coulsdon Audi, who eventually admitted that this is a known issue with RS3 and TTRS brakes but that there is no current resolution. New brakes started to squeal a little bit after 24 hours but so far not anywhere near as much as before. I reported the problem with circa 3k miles on the clock and finally got the brakes changed at 5k, but had to provide video and audio evidence as I couldn't replicate the squeal on test drive. I expect that they will get worse but at least the issue is logged...
