this is off the BDM S3 race car (2.0 tfsi)

they use an adapter plate to run a 1.8t oil filter housing, like so:

notice the port for oil pressure sensor, and plug for temp sensor.

is this standard on these?

im guessing not, but would this be hard to do?
suppose i should ask them really. doh

Sandwich plate. You can get them for about £30 mate, only problem is on out motor its tight as it is to removethe oil filter so wth this itd be a right pig.

the thing that takes up about a third of the whole picture! lol
has a blue electrical connector on it, has the oil filter on it, bolted to the engine block. ITS RIGHT THERE!

But in seriousness its looks like a massive oil cooler, not sure if its standard or not.

Hi Karl,

The oil filter housing we have used is from A BAM 1.8T and the ports are there as standard. We havn't had to drill holes or anything like that. The sensors are motorsport sensonrs. Blue is oil temp and the silver one is oil pressure.

The only part we have had made is the hex cap for the oil breather. That will have a thread put down the middle to take a dash 8 fitting and got to the oil catch tank.

Hope that helps?

So can the 1.8t filter housing take a oil temp sensor? Whats the thread? I want to fit a oil temp gauge but though i was going to have to buy a sandwich plate, guessing i dont have to now?

if you have looked at yours you will see there's a blank in there.. M10x1 thread fitting.
