Hi, I'm looking to increase the power in my 2.0 tfsi DTM, from what I have been told I can not replace the KO3 with a KO4, only able to upgrade my existing KO3. I have been told this by various turbo companys ie Turbo Technics, Turbo Dynamics etc with a cost of around £400-550 to upgrade my existing turbo, or around £700 to upgrade a new KO3.
Does anybody know of anything different to this?
I have also been looking into getting a remap, possibly REVO also getting Miltek exhaust, s3 injectors, and induction kit.
Can anyone recommend where to get these from for a good price, also REVO suggested using the ITG induction kit.
If anyone has any different ideas they would be welcomed and appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Nigel, The good news is pretty much all your questions have been addressed in this sub-forum the bad new is you'll have to search for them.
Good choice of car by the way :)

Thanks for your response mate, I've been having a good look around and trying to get to grips with the different forums.

Hi Nigel,

you can upgrade to a K04 but it is a different figment and requires a manifold, downpipe changes etc so a lot more involved.

With an exhaust system and custom remap we get 270bhp from the std turbo.

Rick

Stage 2+ = High pressure fuel pump ,high flow cat , exhaust, panel or induction kit and remap to make most of all the kit should be around 285-290 bhp
After that ko4 lots have done it with well over 300bhp seen but it costs more due to custom fabrication required. Search previous posts for ko4 projects Solaris did a great right up of is ko4 install on his dtm.

Thanks Rick, do you think I would see much difference in results from a KO4 rather then a upgraded KO3?

Thanks Marrow I will have a look at that write up mate. Any ideas on which induction to use?

Hey there
We are looking to increase our range by adding the Audi TT 2.0 TFSi 76mm full Stainless steel exhaust system to our existing range of VAG platformed models. Get in touch and we'll do you a deal if we can use your car as the development vehicle.
Cheers

his car is a A4 DTM not a TT ?

I remapped my TFSI Quattro SE, (which started with the same 220bhp) at AMD essex. With a Millek cat back (which doesn't really add much to the power) and a Pipercross air filter, it was running 265bhp on their rolling road. This was using V Power fuel.

Feels like a huge difference the standard 220 as the torque figures are now really impressive, therefore don't really feel i need any more at this stage. When the turbo kicks in there's not much that gets away! It seems like the most cost effective solution to me.

I have bsr intake and it's spot on and cheap compared to others on the market !

but the induction dont make power
the OEM box id good for all the power he can get from it
its just a noise and expence.

I'm not sure about fitment but another train of thought may be to look into the IHI k03 from the B8. People seem to be getting great results from mapping(stg1/2) however this may be related to other factors such as cams etc.

i only use AET
but theres a few qther places that do them
turbo dynamics
midland turbos
