Right my clutch started slipping last night.not bad after a year and a half of abuse! so I have got a few parts for the vr6/g60 combo but there is no way I trust myself doing it. How much would you expect to pay for just fitting as I'm supplying the parts?

S3 can be as little as 4 / 5hours or as much as 8 / 9 hours labour depending upon garage. Some can fit it without completely removing the front sub-frame (e.g. JBS); others like The Phirm say it's impossible to fit it without removing the sub frame. I think stealer's book it as 9hours. Well, they do have a lot of tea to drink :) JBS did mine.

Cheers mate, called up a garage local to me who specialise in VAG cars.I asked how much if I bring all the parts,he said 3.3 hours labour at 200 inc vat.not as bad as I thought tbh.its for a a3 chassis fwd

do you still have the MK4, Paradox? (i remember you from UKMKIVS, i had the same username on there)

fair enough, see you more on this site now. It is more informative in the most part, at least these days.

yeah i do mate, had it a while now, since the MK4 was written off :(

For installation you are looking at approx 4 hours including the alignment being checked dependant on how they decide to drop the box out.

The quote you have been given is very competetive but ensure they check the alignment afterwards.

Do you already have the parts?

Yeah mate,I just brought a vr6 clutch and g60 flywheel, just need to go vw on Tuesday(bcos of bk holiday) to get the flywheel bolts then I'll have all the parts ready
