Loose wire ID please

Cleaning the car earlier i noticed one of the wires was disconnected.

As it's a new car (to me) it must have been like that while i've had it.
I've gone through and checked and everything seems to be working.

Any ideas please?

Yeah, that fuse tap is definitely not stock. Maybe the previous owner had some accessory that they kept but left wire there (stereo, amp, etc.)

As above - looks like a separately fused power feed. Might be a good idea to test the terminals to see if they're live. If so, then remove the fuse and test again.

To be honest i've not found anything in the car that's after market, what's more confusing is everything seems to work fine.

Looks like the only option i have if it's not stock is to try and trace the line through the car.




Quick question while i'm asking for help on the electrics.

Does anyone know if the 12v socket in the boot is live even with the ignition off?

Without being sarcastic mate, but plug something into it & see if it works lol.

I don't have anything that runs off a socket otherwise i would.

Granted i could measure the output with a DVM, buts it's 40c today in the shade so if some knows it would have saved me a few kg in sweat.

Missus is, kid is (according to missus although she's almost carbon copy of me, but better looking) & live here, but work in UK & man do I have a nice hangover today after little one's 2yr bday yesterday.
