Fantastic news! Glad it's all sorted for you.

Managed 39mpg on my first full tank of diesel, happy with that as I have been putting my foot down to get used to the car. Should hopefully improve a bit with use. Filled up today and DIS said 505 miles for this next tank but so far I have driven 41 miles and it is still showing as 505 to empty.

got it!

What an ordeal but well worth it. I am 100% over the moon with everything about it. What a great car. The dealer did a whole song and dance too. It started with the free cup of coffee and being guided into a private showing room. The car was underneath a big Audi blanket and I was sat down in some comfy sofas until the room down lighters were turned on. I walked to the front of the car and the blanket was slowly taken off revealing the glory. My smile was big to say the least and the suspense was great. When i saw the car all of my worries and fears went away. It was perfect.
The dealer took me round all the features and I was surprised to hear that most people dont go for the full options pack which felt good. The wheels are truely awesome in real life. The start/stop takes some getting used to but is also a great feature. Silver stiching was also a good choice as was the interior light pack..the list goes on.
Its the 2.0TDi and im happily surprised at the performance. Only niggle would be that the manual seems clunky. The car we test drove was an auto and smooth but the gear changes on the manual will take some getting used to. As its a Quattro the pros out way any cons. Went round a roundabout 4 times increasingly fast and the thing didnt go off track.

Anyway, ive a couple of pics to show so enjoy and when the sun shines ill get some more up.

Its been emotional

A couple to whet your appetite. More to follow once ive cleaned it

Very very nice, like the wheels.

Did you get an emergency key with it? Can't find mine, not sure there's supposed to be one or not.

By "emergency key" do you mean the little black plastic one?
If so yes I did get one along with the two main key/remotes!

Make sure you get one and also make sure that if they've lost one then it gets deregistered on the car.

Apparently the keys are handy for going to the beach and keeping in your trunks whilst you go for a swim.

Hey, I'm new to the forum and Audi, so hello. I'm very jealous of all those who have received their cars, my girlfriend was bugging me to get a new car to arrive in time for the arrival of our baby and I foolishly thought that it wasn't necessary to rush things, how wrong was I.

I've been in and out of different dealerships in my local area; man they are annoying, I constantly felt like I was being lied too! Just ordered a 3.0 S-Tronic Avant BE, ended up using an online discount website which is then managed by an Audi dealership and got what I think is a pretty good deal, around 12.5% off. Ordered with a few options including Tech pack high, Advanced Parking (for my partner who's terrified of the idea of a long car!) convenience pack, tyre pressure gauge, sports dif, driver select and damper control all in Daytona Grey. Current estimate is a terrifying week 41 build. I have to say I'm really disappointed that its going to take so long. Do you think there is a chance I'll get bumped forward or are they usually quite accurate?

Also, does anyone have an opinion on the driver select and damper control?

Cheers

Firstly, it sounds like a great choice there. Very similar to mine but with a couple more extras! :)

Secondly, what is this discount of which you speak because I could be doing with 12.5% off my car for sure! Haha.

I didn't get an actual week for my build, instead I got 'mid Novemeber'...

Hi, I'm new to the forum but can add to this waiting time question. I ordered my daytona grey S-Line Avant 143 TDI at the start of March and was given a provisional due date of the 1st Sept. Get excited about ordering a new car and then try to forget about it for 6 months. Not easy!

Hey Daggerit, I'm not sure what the rules are about mentioning companies on the forum, but for your information I used Autobytel, I plugged everything in, including the options I wanted and it created a price, roughly a 12.5% discount I believe, the next day I got a call from an Audi dealership saying no problem! To be absolutely honest I really wasn't expecting anything, no money exchanged hands until I was happy and I then dropped the deposit. Basically I'm getting the car with all the extras for the same price as a standard 3.0 BE figure that's pretty good. I'm not sure but I'm kind of believing the dealer when he says there's no more margin for negotiation, if anyone has any thoughts about this do let me know!

Same boat, mine is november; six months seems a little excessive hey! I'm really not very impressed at all about the delivery time, if I was ordering a super car sure but you would have thought they'd have a decent production line for a family estate!

Chez, looks like you're going to need to get a bigger garage!

Nice car, I'm very jealous.

It does seem ridiculous to be honest and I'm not hugely impressed since when I ordered my A3 in December 2009 is was ready mid-February and that was deemed a 'long wait' at the time. They seem to be getting worse and not better... I guess the silver lining is that it gives me time to get a decent deposit made up. :)

I was kind of thinking the same!

By the way did you take a look at Autobytes?

Hi, I ordered a new S4, with lots of extras at the beginning of September, 2011! 10 weeks after I ordered it, and it was put on the Audi system, my dealer told me that I couldn't have the super sport seats and entertainment pack, and I had to choose one or the other! I went ballistic! I said I wanted my car back which had been p/x'd. But they had sold it! So they agreed to give me an exclusive paint job, which would cost a further £1000. Then they said that because of the Tsunami in Japan, I couldn't have the car with this paint until May this year! With this, I again went spare! They then said that I could have the new shape car, with the black edition; because this was the only way I could have the 19"wheels I had ordered, and because I was initially told that I would get the car in December, they loaned me an S4 to go to France for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, they then realised that I couldn't have the carbon atlas inlays on the black edition! Furthermore, the colours of the leather seats was no longer an option! At this point, I began emailing Audi CEO! He never replied, but Audi UK did...they said that the leather was no longer made in that colour, full stop! I wrote to the CEO again! In the end, audi agreed to give me the exclusive leather, in the colours I wanted. Then Audi said that I couldn't have exclusive leather on super sports seats! I wrote to the CEO again! Audi knocked £3000 off the price. Then Audi agreed to give me the exclusive leather too! Then they agreed to give me a loan S4 until mine was built- telling me that it was due in September! However, I have just taken posession of my spangly new car, and it is ace!! I have to say, it was well worth the wait. you just need to stamp your feet a bit in the showroom, you will be amazed what good it will do, but be sure to let the sales man think that you are not blaming him! I got a car woth £53000 for £43000.

Photos!

And yes they are worth the wait. I also wanted the carbon inlays but have to say that the piano ones look great even if they are dust magnets.

Yes...they are! -dust magnets! I'll see whether I can work out how and where to upload photos soon.

Just had a look at your profile and am intrigued by your seats! And also can you tell me more about your MTM remap and how it feels compared to the standard car.

Hi, the MTM Cantronic and the V Cantronic are boxes which fit next to the ECU. the ECU is unplugged, and plugged into the M Cantronic, which then plugs in, everywhere that the normal ECU goes. This gives the extra power and torque. Having had the car a couple of weeks before this was fitted, I could really tell the difference, thouth this could also be due to the V Cantronic which derestricts the car. I have not really noticed an improvement in the fuel economy, but then I haven't had any long drives in it yet. MTM are a German company, who basically race Audis, and implement improvements in handling and performance. Their distributer in the UK is QS Tuning, Kim is the owner, and he sold and fitted the parts for me. Both companies have a web site, and can advise on upgrades.
As for the seats, they're super sport seats, with a Valcona leather upgrade, and Mustang brown, black, with mustang stitching. I took photos last night, and i'll upload them when I have worked out what to do.
