Difference versions of Navigation systems for B8

MMI 2G (available from 2008-mid 2009):
- No SD card slot
- In dash 6 disc CD changer with separate DVD drive in the trunk for navigation
- 7" low resolution screen
- No "joystick" on MMI control knob

MMI 3G low (available from mid 2009):
- Dual SD card slot
- In dash single DVD drive for navigation or music. No CD changer
- 7" low resolution screen
- No "joystick" on MMI control knob

MMI 3G plus or high (available from mid 2009):
- Dual SD card slot
- In dash single DVD drive for music and DVD video
- 7" high resolution screen (800x480)
- "Joystick" on MMI control knob
- 40GB harddrive


 
Im looking at a 09 plate 2.0TFSI and Im just waiting on the garage putting up some photos. Im hoping its not the 2G but what are the chances in a 09 plate?
 
I'd say slim - 2g was faded out in 2008 but you might get the odd car with it.

so surely a '09 plate car would have it then since they came out in March 09?
Im still waiting on pics as car hasnt actually come in yet.
 
I've found out the car I want to buy has DVD Sat Nav and was registered in April 2009. Will I be able to play DVDs on it?

No, only 3G HDD has this ability.

Did you find out if it has rear LEDs?
 
There are ways. Some people have done PS2, TV, DVD, reversing camera etc
