Just thought I'd share my excitement/nervousness as I'm off to put my car on the dyno today. I've had it off the road for the last couple of months while I acquired all the necessary parts and running my new business venture. I will start a build thread over the weekend with the rediculous amount of pics I've taken lol. Heres the spec...

- APY block & management etc
- Wossner 8.5-1 pistons (standard size)
- Pec h-beam rods with arp bolts
- New main & big end bearings.
- Agu cylinder head with enlarged throats.
- One piece valves.
- ATP exhaust mani, drilled to m10 fittings.
- Garrett GT3071r, t25 flange, .86 AR, 4"inlet.
- Tial 38mm external wastegate
- Parsons Performance custom 3" downpipe
- Parsons Performance 1.5" Screamer pipe (STUPID LOUD!!!)
- Miltek cat back
- 102mm tip
- S4 maf with S3 sensor
- Siemens deka 630cc injectors
- Cosworth group A air filter.
- Revo stage 3 map (special thanks to Carl @ Revo)
- Sachs organic clutch

Im aiming for 400bhp! Although my current redline is 7k and I think 8k would be best considering the .86 hot side and valves are good for it. I'll get it dyno'd at 7k and see what happens then go back next week with some tweaks and a 8k limit.

Anyone want to have a guess on numbers? :)

Sounds awesome Ben,

3071 on a T25 flange is the same as Tuftys isn't it? but with a bigger AR?

Let it run to 7800 and my guess is 403bhp

Cheers dude, yeah same as tufty's with a bigger AR. Although he changed to a Tial hot side?

Going to get up to the c.o.v meet later, if it doesn't explode....

what dyno?
REVO3........ should be interesting, as your hardware does'nt match their stage 3 required list

Dyno dynamics so probably a heartbreaker! :(

Yeah, Its not their required list at all but Revo Carl sorted that out for me, they had to write the file for my ecu as its the first s3 ecu. 8n0906018.

If all's well I'd like to get it up to yourself and see if you can eek any more from it.

That'd be awesome if you can make it Ben, I could even bring you your cam chain tensioner! :keule:

Let me know if you are comming :)

Setup looks fantastic hope everything goes well for u Benjamin !! Look forward to seeing the results

They are. DaveS3 and I have had upset from them but we both had problems with are cars at the time so that didn't help the out come so dyno was not to blame

To say mine had a oil leak from glazed bores and hardened valve oil seals leaking oil into cylinders 2 & 3 we still saw 440 bhp

A friend of mine puts all his engines on a engine dyno under a controlled environment. I would prefer to have the engine in the car under real engine temps etc

Fuel pumps on the way out so boost limited to 1.7bar. Really chuffed though! Fuel pump and 2 bar soon!!

Devil Developments

Did you see a Red Mk2 Fiesta down there? I did all the head work on that and with the rest of the engine work it made over 400 bhp in a shell that weights in at about 800 kg

Sweet Jesus Benjamin! 405bhp at what looks like 6500rpm?

Spool up is late compared to others I've seen, is that due to the massive housing?

Must be an absolute fire cracker on the road! Very impressed :)

That must be quite a kick in the back from 5000rpm 205bhp in 1500rpm!

What sort of tq is it running?

Bang on 350lbft according to the above Dan!

You coming to Colliers wood tonight then Ben?

Doh, thanks Nick.. Missed that as wasn't too clear in the ibone.

Is this running a Wellys cooler? ( I did check 1st before asking :) )

Mine was a T25 0.64 with the 56.5mm turbine and internal gate but is now a T3 0.63 and 60mm turbine with external gate... Garrett 4 bolt hotside modified to be a 2.5" V-Band fitting and Tial 38mm external wastegate...

<tuffty/>

Spool is shockingly high on that, i would be sick if it was that late. Good figure though. Wonder how the EGTs are at that level??!!

Its quite quick I suppose! Haha

Delivery of power is really smooth and progressive, it pulls really well, considering the car is quite standard looking it will certainly be catching a few people off guard.

Ben has done an amazing job with the install and it looks really factory considering the tight fit of the pipework and firewall/turbo.

Oh and that screamer pipe is hilarious.

Me and Ben went on a roadtrip today and picked up an IHI kit for mine, which should keep him busy.

Great......another s3 that makes mine look pussy!!!! Lol well done fella. Bet she's awesome!!

Trying to post a video but failing miserably! Lol.

New fuel pump, 8k rev limit and 2bar is on the to do list. :D can't wait.
