Hey Guys n Dolls, Been a while (working long hours!!!)

I currently have the A3 1.8T AUM (stock)

What all would I need should I want to go Ko4 in the future? (A-Z Please)

I would like to start saving up and getting the right parts from the beginning.

Thanks Guys

Cheers:icon_thumright:

What you would need is to search lol

Honestly its been asked sooooo many times. Have a search. It's not a quick job either, why not get a remap first? You current turbo with a stage 2 map won't be disappointing

Use Googles advance site: search functionality if you are having no luck... use the following in Googles search box for example:

site:www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-forum-8l-chassis/[/URL] K04 conversion

but as said this has been done to death...

<tuffty/>

haha thanks guys will try, but was initially after a list from start to finish as said i want to start fresh and one day end up with the Ko4 :) should i do my standard Ko3s with stage 2 and supporting mods, what figures would I see? thanks guys Cheers:icon_thumright:

Why don't you sell your car and buy an S3.... The price you can buy one for now they are Cherrybobs..... Don't know what yours is worth but why spend a lot of money upgrading to Ko4 and all else what comes with it.... When you could potentially sell yours and put what you would spend and have an S3 to start with 210 or 225 and then work from there.... Engine internals all geared for higher bhp... Could be wrong but that's my own personal opinion....

Hi chaddy mate I'm just about to put a thread up so look out for it !! Will help u loads

Engine internals all geared for higher bhp... Could be wrong but that's my own personal opinion....

Engine internals are essentially no different on the A3 and S3, same engine, different bolt ons.

And S3's are ****, everyone knows that :p

a high powered A3 is far more interesting to drive than a boring point and shoot S3 with it's fake 4wd system!

s'ok :) they are slightly different, 19mm wrist pins vs 20mm, but essentially, both will break!

I do see where you're coming from though, and I think it's a very personal thing. Were I at the stage of having a standard car and starting a new plan, I'd probably just sell up and buy an S3. But having gone down the road I did, I wouldn't change it for the world.

If the OP is attached to his car, and wants to improve it hugely, then why not go for it!

Yes your right and I'm thinking the same.... You can spend a whole lot of money very quickly and before you know it your in a spiral and you just can't help yourself....lol... Never noticed he lives in South Africa so that could change things totally... Know what S3 prices are here but not a clue what they are over there...

Well at first I did want to sell up and buy a s3 but car was to special to part with so more power on the way more smiles and more fun!

hey guys, agree with you all on what has been said, but I love my baby way too much, still in great condition with low low mileage so wont be trading her in any time soon.

@Customboy - Thanks buddy am following you as we speak, great write up so far BTW and nice pretty pics of power ;-)

@Prawn - I totally agree with you, much more impressed to see a S3 get whipped by an A3 :) haha JJ but S3's are good looking :)

@Cecilthesausage -Audi's in general are pricey here in SA, so im one of few young guys who have one :) here in SA the S3 cost +-R135 000 in good condition (13 000 pounds) and the A3T goes for R80 000 in good condition (7500 Pounds) so its much cheaper for me to modd my car that I love than buy a cheaper(in my price range) wrecked S3 that still needs work before even thinking of modding.

I like the whole saying "Built Not Bought" so I know its all "me" in the engine bay and not some other guy who has done major mods and wrecking the engine.

But all in all im not in a rush to get the Ko4 snapped on, I want to buy it step by step (not that cheap here in SA) and then progressively get the parts fitted :)

What Ko4 Turbo is advised to get? 001 or 023? As i said i need a list and the only way to get 1 is to ask haha ;-)

Thanks for the comments guys
Cheers
