Yes and no. It will do bits and pieces but there really is no substitute for the real deal. Ross-Techs VCDS is that good that apparently some dealerships are now using it. To avoid disappointment, drop a PM to Nigel, username NHN on here. He is a supplier of VCDS and at a great deal cheaper than what you would otherwise pay. Plus with a fully registered VCDS interface, you get lifetime updates and technical help from Ross-Tech in the States, and they are really really helpful. Can't fault their customer service.

VCDS-Lite should work with the B6 A4. But, the data behind VCDS-Lite is for up to model year 2004 when it was released. So ....

B7 A4 requires a HEX+CAN interface and full VCDS.
