Anyone know if the A4 flywheel can be used on an S3? I have been offered a complete Helix setup cheap but I've read the A4 runs a slightly smaller diameter flywheel by 6mm. Would be nice to know if it bolts up. Ta

nope, it won't fit as the ring gear is on the wrong side... You might be able to use the clutch plate but i'm sure the pressure plate is different...

Sorry I don't get it - the starter is in the othe side but I thought the ring gear is in the same relative position on both flywheels?

Doesn't fit no matter how large your hammer is ! The s3/transverse flywheel has a different trigger for the crank sensor compared with the longitudinal engine...

no 1.8T has its crank trigger on the flywheel, they're internal.

Still doesnt make a difference though, it wont fit!

Baah. Thanks anyway, looks like I'll have to pay top dollar for a new one then :(
