hi all, my front tyres are due to be replaced pretty soon and im not sure what to replace them with. ive currently got kumho's but their useless. cars running completely stock and im not planning on modifying so what would be a good compromise between wet and dry? ive been faithful to P Zero's in the past but getting recommendations on conti's? im not a boy racer or anything, just want to make sure i stay on the tarmac! :)

thanks in advance.

Goodyear Eagle F1's are the best I've had on my S4, but can't stomach the ludicrous price of them these days.
My last set were Falken 452's. Far cheaper, but so far they've held my 430bhp on the road. Only downside is they are relatively noisy.

Could you share more information about your car (year, engine size etc...) and what tyre size you're looking for (including weight and speed index)?

If you want a cheaper midrange offering with excellent performance then look at the Hankook S1 Evo.

I run Eagle F1 Asy2's, not sure what blue was paying, but they were about £100 a corner on my 17's and they are pretty awesome.

Shes a 1999 S4, tyre size is 225/45/17, not aure about the speed rating an not particularly bothered to be honest! Cheers

Yea ive heard good things about the F1's. I'm probably gonna go for those. Got better reviews than the p zero's. Thanks!

IMO stay with P-Zeros mate. Better in wet than F1's. Pzero Rosso that is.

I've never run P-Zeros, but the performance of my Eagle F1 Asy2's in the wet is simply outstanding.

The older GSD3's werent as good, but Asy2's really have upped the game.

To be honest last time I used F1's was about 3 years ago so it might have been GSD2.
They are close but P-Zero Rosso were by far the best tyres I have owned.
My Michelin Pilots are almost finished now and will definitely order Pirelli again from Camskill.
If you don't drive like a lunatic you will be fine with either Pirelli or Good Year.
With average of over 40k miles a year I do change tyres pretty often...
Stay away from Potenza though. Awful tyre in wet...

fair point. p zero's are brilliant in the dry, but ive had some close shaves in the wet, it really doesnt give much confidence. i think i'll be trying the F1's this time, their both the same price anyway!

I run Vredestein Sessanta Ultrac's, fantastic tyres and the reviews are great but down side they don't last more than 13000mls.

not read the thread so if mentioned before "my bad" but the goodyears are the way forward.

I am running Toyo T1 Sport tyres..

really a massive improvement over previous Toyo's I have had

really good in the wet, dont seem to wear to badly either.

Anyone used the Continental Contact Sport's? They won the Evo tyre of the year award.
