I fancy a change, but cant afford a full set of decent OEM alloys at the moment so was thinking of changing the colour of what I have to gloss black.

Anyone got any pics of gloss black S-Line/RS6 alloys?

Cheers :)

Ah i see sorry mate i thought that was your car. If you are looking to get your wheels re coloured, i would suggest powder coating, i have just had my S line wheels refurbished using the powder coat method and it's top notch.

If you paint them and you catch a wheel on the curb the paint will just begin to flake off, where as powder coat doesn't but what ever you do, if you get black powder coat and you clip your wheels you will always be able to see silver underneath, the photo of mine was with black powder coated wheels and they had been scuffed and you could see silver underneath, the black never flaked off but it looked **** to be honest with the silver showing, when i get them re powder coated i just when for a standard silver finish again.

i never ever go anywhere near any curbs learnt that lesson a long time ago lol i always park about 3 inches away from them :)

Does anybody run those 5 spokes in 19" I currently have genuine 18" but would like to go bigger in the same style.....

Thanks for all the pics dudes - its given me some thought anyway.

Engineer > What colour are your wheels? I have lava grey and cant decide at the moment whether to go gloss black or a dark anthracite type colour like yours?

What kind of price am I looked at for a powder coat on all four wheels?

I had my RS6s powder coated titanium (same as the BE wheels) for £140 on a single day turn around. Dropped the car off at 8.30 in the morning and picked it up at 5.30 with the wheels all refitted and balanced.

Mine are a Subaru grey (not the exact name, but the same coulor they paint theirs from factory), a good friend of mine painted them. The going rate near me for powder coating is around £45 per wheel. Some people do it for £35. :icon_thumright:
