Hi. thank you. at the moment i am driving a freelander es td4. so a audi car will be a bit of a change. at the moment i quite like the td s line in auto box around year 2006 or 2007. still open to recomendations though.
The S3 brigade members have only one recommendation: Get an S3 
Welcome to the site. It seems the Diesel option is quite popular in Europe. not much here down under but its starting to. The 2.0T is nice.
Watch out for bad steering rack (creaking at low speeds), rear diff whine, worn cam follower which migh have damaged the High Pressure Fuel Pump and Cam Shaft. Hope I didn't scare you hehe but wanted you to be aware of some of the costly to repair issues. Alot usually come up while car still under warranty so have a look at what was done already in a 2006/7 car.
