BADGER TIP GROUP BUY

My fault. This group buy cleared Bill out!

in the same time this GB was going, a qty > GB was also sold via regular enquiries... The batch I had barely covered the backlog,. and instantly went on backorder again.... Jetex also ran out... doh!

couple of weeks or so normal service should be resumed.

Jeez that was a grind 400 posts to vet, anyone not happy with the edit please let me know as I've tried to keep the knowledge for potential buyers here as its beneficial for members in the long run.

for potential newbies...

The best flowing k04 tip on the market just got better... What once was 76mm outside diameter is now one piece silicon 80mm inside diameter, all the way to the turbo... Even bigger.. Full MAF size OD maintained to the turbo inlet.

...and its even cheaper too.

Bill, sorry for what might be a stupid question but I'm sure you've heard thousands of them.

Can this be made to fit a Ko3s if and would you expect to see gains over a forge silicone TIP on an s?

So glad i held off, ill be orderin myself a red one tomorrow me thinks :).

I want one in black, Ok to just call and order normally I take it rather than it being part of a forum GB only.

Does that mean your original design is obsolete Bill? I still have a deposit with you for the groupbuy which I'm happy to go ahead with, since I finally got my car started today!

Oooooh Bill I'm glad I missed out on the first one now, that looks very impressive I want one :hubbahubba:

Bill when the foam of the filter starts to be more white, does it means that it needs maintenance??

Looks nice i Bill, i asked about ordering a tip and filter last week but never got round to ordering one off you but your new one looks great. I think i might have to order one.

I still have some V1's which will suit some folks better than others (non esp for example)
This will be replacing the V1

Gains may be a little more, but in the area of measurement scatter over and above the 76mm one. not the same gains again.. lol

Just ordered myself one of these bad boys :), cant wait to get it.

Also i don't have esp on my APY block so ill post some pics up too.

and to post an answer as a generic answer as someone on here has pm'd me.

V2 TIP is not exchangable for the previous V1. Its a different product which I have further developed from the multi-component V1.
Dont ask for me to swap it back because you recently bought the V1, I wont.

Sell your V1 if you fancy the V2.

There's nothing wrong with the V1, but the V2 costs less, has less components, and the cost reduction has been passed on with the V2. V1 from supply perspective was unsustainable from vendors making the welded parts for me & the overall component count was excessive/costly

thanks

Only had my s3 a few days and i want to buy one of these. Whats the differance between it fitting a car with esp and non esp?

First of all... does your car have ESP? (all facelift S3's came with ESP as std IIRC, prefacelifts sometimes didn't) if it does then there is no issue... the TIP's (both V1 and V2) are designed the fit ESP S3's... Non ESP S3's are a little different due to the location of the breather and N75... Bill was supplying the extra bits with the V1 TIP for non ESP cars but not sure what the plan is for V2... Dani has just ordered one though and his car is non ESP... personally cannot see it being too difficult for anyone fairly competant to sort it out though...

Dani will no doubt post pics :)

To be honest im not sure if i have esp or not. It is a pre-facelift but not looked into if it has it or not. I should prob sort out some other things before looking at buying stuff like this.

Does your car have an 'ESP' button on the dash? It's should be above the stereo somewhere. Does it have an analogue or digital clock under your rev counter? Digital = ESP model.

Sure it will be fine, just a bit more work to fit... wait and see how Dani gets on :)

Mate honestly, youll be fine, its so easy to modifiy the piping like tufty said. All you need todo is extend the n75 valve piping to the TIP and extend the PCV piping into the TIP, or do what ive done and blank the PCV section of the TIP off and run a oil catch can and vent it to atmosphere :).
Ill post a mini write up on my build thread next week and link it to here.

Well received my bad boy TIP today :), its massive haha. Can't wait to fit it tomorrow.

Digital clock does not always mean it's got ESP - mine is a 1999 APY with digital clock and no ESP.

wow, another evolution!

Bill: Will I be able to fit this over my current 3'' TIP billet v1 stuff still? or would I be best off selling and buying a whole new inlet?

Don't suppose anyone has tried fitting on a TT 225 as helping a friend mod his and he's going to get the b5 tip but was unsure whether the positioning was slightly different? If so would be better with the v1 because of the ability to adjust it more?

If you need a V1 for Dave's car this might be my cue to sell mine and get a V2 ;)
