Passed my MOT!

Hey all,

You probs dont care but i passed my MOT again For the 2nd year running it has gone straight through without any advisorys.

Am i lucky or does the fact i get it serviced every 6 months actually do something over peace of mind? saying that last couple of services nothings needed changing at all.

For the record my angel eyes passed both times with HID's installed even though i dont have the auto adjustment thing that the newer cars have. I know this was mentioned in a post recently.

Anyway sorry for the boredom had to tell someone that would moderately care

Nice one. My MOT was last week and mine went through all good. And surprisingly it just scraped through on emissions with decat even though you can smell the petrol fuems pouring out the exhaust lol. Had to run it quite a while before it settled down.

I know that this is off subject but i noticed that you are running a THS decat.... how do you find it ie any gains and the noise level change? thanks for any info you have.

hmm well thinkin about it i have projectors in the angel eyes anyway and my car came with washers too. dunno why it had em as the old lights were the pre facelift splits.

The computer failed it at 0.32 above the limit but it kept dipping in and out of the pass margins so he said he passed it regardless because it was so slim and wouldnt fail it when it was so close.

S3black: Gains i wouldnt say it really gave any but the spool is even quicker, noise increased a bit. Just need to get a downpipe made as its 3" straight back down into crappy standard 2.25" at the flange so maybe once the downpipe and proper system is on then i might get some gains but obviously its going to be more beneficial than keeping the cat on.

They're the same thing. They need self-levelling adjusters, projectors and washers.

Both my A3s passed MOTs with HIDs in no problems. I've never been flashed in the night either with 6k bulbs, the projectors are really the main thing.

Sweet.... cheers for that. I have a cat back so far but was looking into the THS as they seem well priced and after all its a section of pipe. Not sure if im going to go for a down pipe atm but i will keep looking. Cheers.

Mine passed last week after being parked up for 12 months, it only covered around 900 miles in the last 2 years! Gave it a good blast along a by pass to clear things up, passed emmissions with no probs at all.
