Help Converting Stereo in 2005 A4

Hey, I've got an 2005 Audi A4 and I want to change the stereo to the Concert II system from the later Audis. I also want to add full Ipod control.

I've had a search on the forums but am struggling to find the exact information I need. I need to know prices, part numbers and installation procedures.

If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

What stereo have you got fitted at the moment? Are you looking to do a single din to double din conversion or just a stereo swap?

I currently have the single din concert stereo, I would like to swap it too the double din concert stereo from the later models.

Ive got a guide somewhere on how to do the conversion, ill try n find the web address for you. I recently did the conversion and its really quite straightforward, it looks more daunting than it actually is!

would of thought it would of been a simple plug and play tho if u want to convert to a double din, you'd have to move your climate contols further down and lose the little shelf underneath.

I have just won a double din stereo on eBay so now I just need to know what else I need. Will I need another wiring harness, especially if I want to add the Ipod dock for the glovebox?

In regards to parts required you will need a double din cage, double din climate control unit (or you can trim the one youve got down so it will fit in its new position).
As to the wiring it may be a case of just plugging in and off you go,but dont quote me on that! I had to buy an additional wiring harness as i was fitting a kenwood dnx7220 multimedia unit.
