Deffo don't rule out the octo's my last 3 co. Cars have been octavia's and we'v had way less problems then we did when in passat's
Also consider Toyota Avensis or Nissan Primera, the local asian Taxi's must know something we don't know when it comes to running high mileage cars, both easily available for around £1k.
