how much for a new key recoded..

was just wondering if any one here has had go get a new key from audi and have it coded to the car.

i got a 99 1.8t sport and some one has decided to wash my key, and to say the least its ******, i can still unlock with the key and still starts, just anoying thats all,

if ne one can help it would be much appreciated..

i can't remember the cost exactly but it was about £190 (maybe) for a new flip key and to get everything recoded (all old keys and the car)

depends i got key off ebay for 10 just the case and blade , got the blade cut at a lock smiths near me for 3 quid, also a new chip board from fox tech garage near my work for 18 and then paid 48 quid for it to be programed so total 79 quid but depends who you know and if they do you a good price..

If the key still starts the car then all you need is the transponder part of the key.

You can just get one cheap off ebay and re programme it yourself (just make sure it the same part number)
