Should my 8P2 Quattro S-Line have come with rear mats?

I recently got a 8P2 S-Line Quattro 2.0 TDi (170 PS) Sportback to replace the 1999 8L 1.8T Quattro that my missus squashed in the snow last year.

I'm kicking myself that I didn't notice it at the dealer when I got it but it had no rear mats. If I'd have noticed I'd have demanded a pair thrown in. The dealer tells me they don't come as standard? I find that hard to beleive. Is he telling the truth?

In my experience, I've never known mats to be included with any car - they have always been "extra" although usually are negotiated as part of the purchase package.

Could be wrong though!

i though mats came as a set (4) so yes!

You are lucky to have a floor in the rear if you didn't specify it, let alone mats. Typical Audi.

I'll second that - try buying them individually, rare as hens teeth in my experience.

According to the brochure (page16) the S-Line comes with mats as standard (Black or Silver Trim dependent on upholstery chosen)

We had a set of 4 in our BE that arrived this week, genuine audi fitted mats, didn't order them or ask for them.

Mats were standard on the 07 S-Line models so it should have them in the rear...

rear mats were not standard on the 8P1 or 8P2 but i have a feeling they are on the 8P3.

ok you could have demanded them as part of the purchase but be happy in the knowledge that it's actually cheaper to buy them from the parts department than have them specified from the factory (or at least they were on my factory order 8P1 1.6)
