Oil Going To $200 a Barrel

That's the truth Folk's. we are pawns in somebody elses game, all these country's now going into meltdown is no coincidence.

Turk, Very true as i stated in one of your other post's "We are F++ked from all angles". We need to wake up big time.

I think it's time for the government to lower the duty on fuel I have heard they are going to be doing this, how true it is I don't know as it was in the news of the world. Something needs to be done though I don't really need to say it but this country will go downhill fast if this trend carries on.

Companies are already struggling and this will be the final nail in the coffin for them I think.

The thing I don't get is there has always been conflict in the middle east, why is it affecting us so badly now and not before? I'll take a wild guess and say it's their excuse and a bad one at that but I don't really follow these things so if someone could enlighten me please do.

do you also not think that the fuel we all use today has only just been pumped out of the ground? of course its not, its been pumped out months if not a year ago, but when there is the slightest issue over there, it hits us within days! When was the last time to you see the price do down when there is nothing going on to disrupt the pumping ?

I actually didn't think of that, you are right though it doesn't go down in the same fashion as it goes up but what does? My main point is there has always been conflict in the middle east since I can remember and it hasn't affected things as it does now. I know it's just an excuse they use and with the point you made it's pretty much certain that it's all lies.

I know it's not exactly the same but another thing was the closing of the coal mines, they said that we were running out, where I live there used to be a fair few mines which are now closed and I have worked with a lot of ex miners and they all say that there was still a lot of coal left, contradicting what the government want us to believe, I know there's a bit more to it than that and I suppose you're already aware of this but don't they also say the same about oil? I bet there's still enough to take us into the next century and probably a lot further. It's just another way of trying to control what we do and keep them living the good life.

there is more oil under alaska than the whole of the middle east put together, they know it, they know we know it, but they wont tell us about it, but more to the point, we dont need it, we dont need to be burning oil to power cars any more, every time someone invents a better way, the inventor ends up dead and the oil companies buy the idea then lock it away in a safe and forget about it, you can use vegetable oil to run diesel cars, bio diesel is even sold in Germany at the fuel pumps, sales of it slumped when they slapped the tax on it and caused it to becoem more expensiv that the normal diesel being sold by the big oil companies!
