Colouring my rims

As title states looking to colour my alloys, my car is akoya silver same as the car below (apologies i stole this picture off another thread, hope you dont mind) so far this colour goes best with the car in my opinion, but thort i would as the experts opinion. i will be posting pics of my own car later tonight. . . looking for something a little stand out but not stupid. . . . any suggesting or photoes would be appreciated.

Just tried to link a picture but have no idea how to if anyone can help with this would be helpful too.

iam same mate i got some rs6 and did them anthasite .... looked poooooo iam thinking of a total change to the norm like a hi-vis blue or a high vis red and changing front badge colour to match be nice to see if some one could photo shop a few colours against the car ..... what style wheels you gone for ???

Alrite bud, got a pic here of the akoya silver with purple wheels on and it looks alrite. . . . ill post it up if i can work out how, my rims are just the standard 5 spoke 17's but i quite like them bulky + im looking to drop her soon so havnt really got the money for a new set of rims, was looking at some multispokes the other day but looking at over a grand with decent tyres so ill have to get saving. . . . what you got on at the minute?
 
Cheers for post n8, them were the rims i was looking at how much did u pay if you dont mind me asking? dont think the red is for me though has your motor actually had the pink rims on like at the bottom of your threads?

At n16: yip thems the boys m8 i think they will look sweet coloured. . . .
 
i did do some messing about on paint and i tried pink blue and red ....blue looks ace but its havinf the balls to do it as i dont have money like i use too lol and think i want some 18" tried 19" and sounded like a had a dog barking in boot with all rubbing ...
 
You will have to post them up if uve still got them. . . . think i might try some myself, were your 19's painted? yea if i got some new rims id go for 18's, do you know how much i cost for refurb and paint?
 
yeah there were 19" and i did them anthasite didnt like look so sold them to get money back on them ..... it cost me 30 a wheel to get them done ... so £120 in total
 
You obviously didnt need a refurb with the alloys been new? mine are slightly scuffed round the edges or do they do that before they paint?

mine was scuffed all over in a right mess kid that did them got rid of all that and rebuilt them did a mint job then repainted them when i had my golf i had 20" on that and use to take them to metal magic which is a recon alloy shop charged me 75 per wheel to powder coat them but after 2 ,3 month was chipping and coating would crack off had this kid do them for 150 per set lasted me 6 month easy and only reason needed reconning was due to tyre change ( garage could get 225 30 20 on with out scratching rim )

Sounds sweet. . . .so were bout are you from, im north east could do with some reccomendations for tyre painters as i dont what mine cracking after 3 month

Yea m8 its looking well! i think thats what im set on atm prefer purple to the red..... u got the red atm? looks like you have too much money n8 haha what other colours have you experimented with?

I like the purple, it works with the purple tinge in the paint, it matches my seats anyway :wub: I wish I had too much money, BROKE atm due to the latest mods, but it'll be worth it :wub:
 
Mine on gun metal grey, looks a totally different colour in real life... It's a lot shinier, not as dark as made out in the pics...

What paint colour code did you use for these, they look nice, very similar to the black edition wheels

In real life they are a completely different colour to the black edition wheels, they are a nice glossy grey that comes to life when the suns out, I'll try get some better pics on my DSLR at some point...
I don't have the paint code I'm afraid, got them done by the wheel specialist in Newport, South Wales. The colour is what they call gun metal grey.

Just took this on my phone, the wheels aren't clean so look darker and more of a matt colour than they actually are...
 
Thanks for extra posts people but looking for something other than grey, something abit different like the purple earlier in the thread think i might try and paint shop my wheels
