hello everyone, i am looking to buy a audi s3 2008- from a dealer could anyone please recommend a good dealer where i would get a good deal please. thanx

Hi mate

You are best of looking in the normal places - Audi, Auto Trader, Piston Heads etc.

I am also looking for an S3 8P3. I will not be staying 'loyal' to my local dealer if there is a better deal 100 miles away

Depends on where you are and are willing to travel too ? My local dealer is excellent Lakeland audi in cumbria

i'll tell you a good dealer if you tell me how long this piece of string is that i am holding up.....it really is pin the tail on the donkey mate and most good dealers will only be good because of the salesman you have 'lucked' out on.....

Dont tie yourself to any dealer or discount buying private is my advice

It also depends on the part ex deal that was made to get the S3 into the dealership. If the salesman got it 'cheap', then some of this will be passed on. But, if the salesman got his pants pulled down, then this will also be passed on. You can see this on the Audi website if you compare very similar spec cars, they are not similar prices!

For me, I dont think I will be going the private route due to the amount of money involved. Even with an RAC inspection/HPi check, I would not be confident

Why not go half way & consider buying off a reputable non Audi dealer? Mine was bought off a main Renault dealer, was much cheaper than Audi, still had the balance of the Audi warranty & they offered top whack on a hassle free trade in.
I got in before the 3 others who would have bought it that day, including the guys who arrived 5 mins after me & waited while I test drove it & watched me shake on the deal! Gutted! And the guy who was driving 200 miles to see it...

Course, it was cloned whilst they were selling it, so it's horses for courses!!!!

Dave - I added that bit, as I'd given the benefits of buying from a non Audi garage to balance things out, then laughed as I remembered what happened with mine!!! Car was from a main Renault dealer, yet they were pretty uninterested that a car they'd sold had been cloned whilst on their forecourt. Police were more interested, especially when it'd been the second within a month...

It happened, but then it could happen with an Audi dealer if you were unlucky enough I suppose...

Selling mine lads in april if you folks are interested as I'm getting a diesel lol. Will give a heads up nearer the time but am also going to leave my bits on for no extra charge as I see such a waste to take off. It's a 59plate.
