OBD2 connector..where is it?

as the title guys where abouts in my 2001 A3 is the port?

On the underside of the dashboard, look directly below the headlight switch, you need to bend down to see it, it should be blue I think?

should be drivers side lower dash panel at bottom right (pinky coloured socket can't miss it)

or possibly underneath the ashtray: only saying this cos even though mine is as above, she still has a cut out and blanking plate for it underneath the ashtray :-S (must be a mk4 golf throwback!)

Below ashtray is only for prefacelift cars upto 1999.

I know, because I have 2 prefacelifts, one is 1999, the other is 2000, and they are both in different positions.

on mine its under the ash tray. pull a little cover off and its a purple/pink colour
