i have a 53reg 190 quattro sport (70000miles) i am a little disappointed with the performance! its very quiet and smooth but has no real urgency at all, just seems to pull the same all the way through the rev range! no 'turbo' surge!! i am thinking of a remap and revo are at the top of the list at the mo because they are close to me but do you have any recommendations for any other companies?
what did you find was the power and torque gains? was it worth it? any good mods to help it get a bit of grunt back? or are these a big slow bus?

MRC Tuning, MRC Tuning, MRC Tuning !!! Bit of a distance for you down in Oxford, but awesome work from Mihnea. (I believe he is Belgium). had my 150 bhp 1.8 T passat worked by them. Is running about 205/210 bhp and similar figures in foot pounds and about 300Nm Torque. Its a lot more fun than before! Was it worth it......100% YES. Best Mod I have ever invested in. I am quite sure they can work can some magic for you. Thoroughbred outfit!

thanks for the reply crazypainter i might look into them, bit of a trek like you say, ryanmt i am guessing yours goes better then? any more info?

Some things just have to be done! I drove from here to north of Newcastle to buy some wheels I had never seen in the flesh. Did about 800 miles in all that day. What a hero eh, or a muppet ! ??

I really would like my 190 quattro remapped. there is ment to be a guy in Scotland star performance i think they are called that i was considering.

Hopefully someone who has the 190 will come on here and point us in the right direction.

Also notice you're from Teesside, I am just south of Darlo myself...

Mine doesnt push me in the seat much either, I think a lot is lost in the 4 wheel drive in regards to feeling, but it does nip about!

I find the brakes come on with the middle pedal although if i hold the left one down for a while and then move my foot up slowley the car slows a little, but definitely not as good as the middle pedal.

Nutkin i found this too with that middle pedal thingy!!! lmao very good

Mine doesn't throw me into the seat either. and the brakes are okish I guess.

The free trial imo is dangerous, as you will buy it.

How much is a revo these day, I have a mate who is a superchip dealer but they aren't cheap to start with.

Revo hav a huge price cut these days, think it's £300 for ours!! Motorscope do superchips but I havnt heard any reviews on them yet! Was told ours will only map to around 220bhp I want more to be honest, what would giv the next biggest gains for the least outlay? I hav a carbon induction kit for a golf turbo, loads of 3'' carbon pipe too, could I make this fit? Just that egr piping to sort/ bin? Anyone done this?

Badger5/Bill is the guy you want to remap your car ..

Yea thats my mate who does Superchips. Poc (Richard) at Motoscope. I had my golf done there, was a really good result.

Go for it.

I gained 50-60bhp on my remap but that was because some tool in an audi stealership had loaded the 163 software on my car.

I got 218bhp (235ftlb torque)on the day but the power graph suggested either a dodgy coilpack or spark plug. Not long after a coilpack went and also the Pcv valve went. Feels much faster now but not had it back on a dyno to see what it's pulling.

I think 220-225 is the most you will see on a remap alone, then your wallet starts taking a big hit for other mods. Why audi didn't fit same injectors and turbo etc as an S3 I don't know but if you want more power you will have to start looking at different injectors, KO4 turbo, high pressure fuel pump and bespoke remap, then probably new clutch and brakes as I font find the brakes on mine very inspiring.

speak to colin CMD, his has had badger 5(bill) treatment, he is running decent enough power and the car feels almost as quick as my S4 with the torque he has(think its around 260-270lb ft) not sure if the 190 will see the gains as they 150 or 163 does but it certainly makes it a quick car, my S4 is around 312-315 hp and 360-370lb ft and the 190 with a badger 5 remap and good exhaust will make it a different car i imagine but Colin CMD is the guy to ask advice on as his has the remap and turbo back blue flame exhaust.
