Upgrading steering wheel to s-line wheel... Airbag question...

I have been talking to a member of this forum who is selling a 3 spoke s-line steering wheel minus the airbag... its going at a reasonable price so I am very tempted...

My question is that without the airbag included will this cause problems with my car... errors on the dash etc?? (I presume that the airbag that is in my 4 spoke steering wheel will not fit it)
are airbags expensive to buy??

any info on this would be helpfull... thanks guys...

Dissconnect the battery first, then after you've fitted your three spoke wheel + airbag, connect the batt; back-up
your ESP light may come on ,just drive a mile down the road and it will reset it self,,,, job done:thumbsup:

any ideas how much an airbag for a 3-spoke steering wheel is Digger?? ya wouldnt have a part number by any chance would ya???

I bought mine of the bay,, £100 three spoke s,wheel incl; airbag, then sold my four spoke one complete with the airbag for £60 !!!

mmmm maybe im not getting a bargain so... might have a re-think... this wheel is working out at about £85 without the airbag... will have to check out the bay when I get home...

was this german ebay or english where you got yours??

If it helps and your not in a rush, I'm buying a brand new RS4 steering wheel soon and my 3 spoke sport steering wheel will be up for grabs.....
