I expected to be paying a few hundred pounds for a 40k service at the main dealer but not quite this much - i'm wondering whether to get the Haldex coupling etc done by Audi and the service done by my local specialist.
Any thoughts on the quote apart from the obvious?

I will tell you my thoughts.....Thats half what i paid for a 40k service on my 3.2

I paid just a bit less so looks normal to me. I had placed the special interior filters

Ok cheers lads.

Don't get me wrong I wasn't falling off my chair shocked only haven't used a main dealer for a while and it's a little bit frustrating knowing that hald the service items I can do myself with a bit of help from my mates and of course with all the peace of mind too.

Paul what are the special filters you mentioned?

If thats 149 lab + 85 parts on the service then thats cheap i think because i was stung £100 for 5.5 ltr's of oil alone.!!

I'm fairly sure the brake fluid should be changed at 40 k as well although this isn't mentioned.

You are right and in theory the air con should be disinfected and recharged..

This is the trouble with quoted prices, they nearly always amount to diferent amounts of work for a given milage. mine inc gearbox oil as well.

I will mention about the air con & brakefluid and see what they say - i'm keen for both to be done.

In fairness I am happy with the dealership so far and I will probably just go with it. Just realised the tax is due in a month too - looks like I might be staying in a fair bit during February! :)
