Audi Concert cd skipping

Anyone had the problems of cds skipping in the disc changer in the boot

of the Audi Concert.

Ive tried everythin tried new cds, old cds, cdr's non cdr's tried a lense

cleanin cd ive removed the fuse and put it bk in and put the code bk in

for the headunit but nothing seems to sort it.

Any Ideas?

You need to clean the laser, take the unit out, and the top panel, and use a "Q" tip with alcohol, that will sort it.

Cleaned it as said.

Still got the skipping that it was doing before tried giving it another go now i just get error messages.

Time to buy a new one i reckon.
They aint cheap though.

About £70 on ebay, so nothing horrendous. Or you could buy a Sony/Alpine changer package which will give you a far better quality mechanism as well as mp3 compatibilty giving you effective access to 60 albums on six CD's.

Just want a changer to straight swap for the one thats in. What model are the Sony or Alpine ones?

If you just want a straight swap then any Audi changer with the 13 pin lead will work (which is most of them). To fit an Alpine Alpine CHM-S630, Sony CDX-T69 (CD changer) or Sony CDX-T70MX (mp3 changer) you need an interface adapter cable.
