Thread: Auto Dimming Mirror

Hi all

I know that this has been covered extensively on the forums, believe me i know my head is s confused because of it

I have a A4 B7 2008 cab with a standard rear view mirror in it. I want to fit an auto dimming mirror.

i am a little confused as to the wiring connections

i think that
theres a ground that goes to the body of the car
+ from the overhead light
a reverse trigger but i don't know where to pick this up from
a connection to the drivers wing mirror
a connection to the passenger wing mirror (these aren't required as i don't have auto dimming mirrors)

if i do fit the wing mirrors later do i have to bring the wires down the pillars to the wing mirrors?



anything other connections ??

also once i have fitted the auto dim rear view mirror i want to retro fit the auto lights to the car is the light sensor for this in the mirror or is it external ?

has anyone got a good link to a guide that is clear and refers to a B7 A4

Yeh I know lol but didn't realise I was in the wrong forum till I had posted lol

you may want to check the windscreen mount...the auto dim is possibly different!
