Water Leak From Front of Engine (2.0 Tdi)

Hi All,

I noticed last night that theres a slight water leak that appears to be coming from somewhere behind the cambelt cover. I took the undertray off and could see where water has run down the alloy casting behind the bottom pulley.

Is this a sign that the water pump is on its way out ? Car is a 2005 2.0 Tdi S-line thats done 45000mls.

It depends, how much water is leaking?

I had the same problem before but it was only the AC!!

Certain its coolant thats leaking as the level has dropped and the water traces on the front of the engine match the colour of the coolant.
