My bootlid is not opening at all, tried on the key, in the car switch, using the key manually inserting and turning. Still won't open, is there any way I can gain access into it asap also what could be the fault.

thanks in advance

Also have rear fog light not working warning sign on the dashboard now :(

Thanks warren, sounds like the problem i have.

My rear seats don't fold tho :( is there any other way to open it?

Even if your rear seats don't fold, they can still be removed by unbolting them.....

Theres a metal bulkhead behind fixed seats, so no can't get thru there...Unless you chop the whole thing out and weld it back in

Just thought i'd share my problem with anyone else who is experiencing the same. I found out the earth wire is common for getting cut entering the bootlid, so I removed the boot strut to gain access to the wiring and on inspection, as thought the earth has broke. So re connected that back and works fine now, phew!

Nice one, glad it was a reasonably easy fix

That's a strang boot lid setup with the spring near the hinge. Don't recognise my B7 having that as it was on gas struts.

Thanks for the help warren.

And yes it's a auto open bootlid by the way, I know that was a option from factory.
