Help in advance with cruise fit

Ok hopefully I am fitting cruise on Thursday - I have it pretty clear in my mind just one thing really do I need to remove the slip ring to install the stalk?
all of the guides I have read are for cruise and DIS
i already have the stalk and he car has MFSW

If you already have an MFSW then you just need to take our the airbag, wheel, slip ring and steering wheel control module. Put in the new stalk and put it all back. You will need a new lower steering wheel cowl though.

You should be fine, they are reasonably robust. Just don't use too much force.
