Interior re trim II
As soon as the weather clears up, it'll be washed & dried, given 2 coats of Poorboys Blackhole, followed by 2 coats of Nattys blue paste wax with the interior door cards / dash etc treated to AutoGlym Vinyl & Rubber

Well, spent a pleasant few hours today detailing my car, washed n dried, then copious amounts of Poorboys Blaxckhole applied. Once this was buffed to a high shine it was covered with Nattys Blue paste wax to seal in the shine.
Took more than a few hours and my arm is hanging off, but, she looks good.......Thats the good news.....
See pics below
The bad news??
Can't believe it looks like my
AC compressor has failed!!
Local AC scpecialist "KlimaKool" reckons I'm looking at...
Compressor, High pressure sensor, labour + re gas at around £725 mark all in
A6 C6 Air Con issues
Lol, if its not one thing its another at the moment

Ok so a couple of minor issues recently.........
1. several fixings for inner wheel well liner missing.....annoying!
2. Front
parking sensor issue.....really annoying!!
3. drivers door switch still causing issues....slightly annoying.
Was in Stirling the other day anyway so popped in to Audi and chatted with Gary there......he got the 4 that I needed and even fitted them for me ( in the rain..lol ) he's a star and only cost a few £
The front
parking sensor issue - its working fine...BUT...its slipped into the bumper slightly so is out of alignment. Essentially anytime the parking sensors are activated its reading the bumper before anything else, so its basically inop.
I called at a local bodyshop I know for them to check it out for me, they took off the number plate plinth to gain access and it looks like there's a little tab missing off the side of the sensor where it locates into the frame.
I have a choice of spending many pennies and buying a new one or.......The guy used a tie wrap to secure it in place and replaced the plinth and its solid in place with no issues and working fine. Tested the system front n rear and all is well as it should be, £10 to the guy to buy a couple of beers and everyone's happy.
Just the driver side door switch....As mentioned previously, everything works fine, except, the drivers window switch...It will lower and raise the window fine, it will raise the window with one shot press, but will not lower the window with one shot, it needs to be held.....a slight annoyance, but one I really need to get around to fixing.
Just cleaned the interior, vaccuumed thoroughly, plastics got the Autoglym vinyl & rubber treatment, let off another AC bomb by Comma....She'll be getting a good wash n clean on the exterior in the next day or so, other than that she's pretty ok.

Ok so I've been having a problem with some noises coming from the front passenger wheel area......These noises seem to me to be like a "tinkling" sound, like 2 pieces of thin metal being banged together.
Its been there a little while as I haven't had time to get around to it ( after first checking the wheel wasn't going to fall off obviously...lol )
My thoughts have ranged from a broken spring perhaps? Maybe the dust shield was loose?
Could it be that the
brake pads are rattling?
Bit the bullet today and took it into my sons garage where they put it up on the ramp and checked for me but could find nothing!!
As I was just around the corner from the Audi Indy I have used several times I took it there and explained the problem.........they seem to think worn drop links could be causing this?
Anyhow at 107k miles I think the originals have lasted well, so I'm booked in for Monday am to get both sides changed out, for around £100 or so.
Whilst there, I've asked them to do a check around to see if there are any other issues that may be causing this, also to replace a rubber grommet on the inner wheel well liner ( access to the headlamps etc I believe ) as well as 2 other liner fixings recently lost that need replaced.
I'm hopeful that the drop link replacements cure the issue, but we'll see I guess..........Obviously I'll report back

Had the car in yesterday, just got it back today as there was a supply issue with the top door hinge coming in on time. This wasn't an issue as it gave them more time to check / resolve my battery issues.
The car was put onto a battery charger / maintainer overnight and restored to full health, with any codes etc being removed from the battery maintenance manager
